Developing new leaders

Officers

While this is a fraternity, I am listing the officer ladies as well because to be frank they are a large part of the Masonic community and support us in every thing we do. They deserve as much credit as their husbands.

Committees

Audit

This committee will verify that our financial transactions are in order for the year. We don’t write a lot of checks, so hopefully our yearly audit should go smoothly.

Carl Simmons – Chair
Mike Tomasiewicz
Bill Stone

Community Involvement

This is a new committee. They don’t need to meet every month or issue a report every month per se. However, I would like to see the Chapter increase our civic presence. I’d like to see the committee find some opportunities to volunteer in the community.

Charles Davis
Taylor Keen
Ken Bunnell

Education

Keep doing great work feeding the growth of our Companions spiritually and mentally.

Matthew Parker – Chair

David Long

Fellowship

Find ways to connect outside of boring business meetings.

Kyle Barchus – Chair
Terry Winter
Matthew Parker

History

This is also a new committee. We don’t have physical records in the building and I’m not sure how many records we have of our history in general. Step 1 would be to assess what we have or don’t have and then see what we can preserve of our past for future generations. At the very least I’d like to get a list of all the past High Priests, some information on how/when we were founded and any pictures we have that I will put up on a website.

Bill Stone – Chair
Chris Edwards
Carl Highman

Membership

I will make calls to Companions on their birthday and send a letter out to everyone. In addition to recruitment and retention I’d like to see the Membership committee try to make sure we have accurate contact information and work with the Grand Chapter to get a list of Companions who have left the Chapter in the past 10 years to see if we might be able to bring a few guys back. Omaha York Rite (Carl and Dennis) bug people about dues and collect it, so you don’t need to make any dues calls. My goal for every officer is to try and bring 1 new Companion in this year, but I’m also hoping to bring other Companions in who left or are inactive and let them know that we’ve got short meetings, fellowship and education.
